Film screening: Combat Stress 100

On 11, Dec 2019 | In Events | By Nicola Gauld

Combat Stress 100, made to mark the centenary of veterans’ mental health charity Combat Stress, captures the compelling and heartrending stories of military veterans – the comradery of basic training, front line fighting, developing post-traumatic stress disorder, and their enduring strength to rebuild their lives.

Working with UK reminiscence charity Age Exchange, the film was made by veterans with mental health conditions to mark the centenary of the veterans’ mental health charity Combat Stress.

*Please be aware this film contains some upsetting descriptions of combat and trauma-related events, and describes the realities of living with a serious mental health issue.

The film will be screened at the University of Birmingham Muirhead Tower Lecture Theatre on 28 February from 4-6pm.

The film will be preceded by a short introduction and followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
