Dr Nick Mansfield is the former director of the People’s History Museum, Manchester and currently Senior Research Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire. He is the author of English Farmworkers and Local Patriotism 1900-1930 (2001); The National Federation of Discharged and Demobilised Soldiers and Sailors, 1917-1921-a view from the Marches (article, 2004) and most recently Buildings of the Labour Movement, English Heritage, (2013)
