THE BOYS ARE COMING HOME
EVERY day they are returning from the War, these men who have faced death countless times on the land and sea, and in the air, in the defence of their homes and yours – what are you doing to show your gratitude and appreciation? What are you doing to help these men confronted with the difficult problem of regaining their footing in civil life?
Show your appreciation a practical way.
It is so easy to praise, cheer, wave flags, but the men who have fought for you don’t want empty condolences, and to offer them charity is an insult. They want a chance to become useful civilians again—they want to make good in commerce and industry as they made good in the Army and Navy.
THE KING’S FUND FOR THE DISABLED
Is organized to help them so. The King has given £81,000 as the token of his appreciation. What will you give? The Fund aims at providing all disabled officers and men of the Army, Navy and Air Forces with the financial assistance necessary to give them amongst other things a practical chance to recover the shop or business they had to abandon when War called them.
The King’s Fund gives
IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE WITHOUT RED TAPE and with NO SUGGESTION OF CHARITY.
HUNDREDS of applications are received every week from disabled men and the widows and children of those who have fallen in the cause of freedom, and the King’s Fund gets in touch with the matter without delay and practical help given immediately.
You cannot show your appreciation of the
fighting men in a more practical way than
by doing all within your power to help
the King’s Fund carry on its good work.
Whatever you give is a slight token of your gratitude for all that the fighting men have sacrificed for you. To the men who have risked their lives and suffered all the horrors of war for you- surely you cannot give too much? They did not hesitate to fight for you —will you hesitate to help them after they have paid the price for their gallantry?
THE CAUSE IS URGENT DO NOT HESITATE TO GIVE A PRACTICAL TOKEN OF YOUR GRATITUDE.
Send your Contribution TO-DAY to The KINGS FUND COMMITTEE in your town,
or to the KING’S FUND FOR THE DISABLED, Westminster House, Millbank, S.W.I.
Cheques should he made payable to “The King’s Fund” and crossed.
