Q.M.A.A.C. ABSENTEE

BIRMINGHAM GIRL REMANDED

Ada Hackett (19), 3 court, 5 house, Lower Tower Street, was remanded till Thursday in the First Court of Birmingham Police to-day on a charge of being an absentee from Queen Mary’s Army Auxiliary Corps since August 17. The girl, who was arrested yesterday by Detective Jones, said she deserted on account of her mother, a soldier’s wife, with five young children.
