BOY AND REVOLVER.

SHOOTING ACCIDENT IN BIRMINGHAM

A little girl named Clara Swift (7), daughter of a soldier on leave from France, and whose home is at 36, Hubert Street, was treated at the General Hospital, Birmingham, yesterday for bullet wound in the head. It was not deemed necessary to detain her.

It appears that her brother, Arthur Swift, a boy of nine, took a service revolver from his father’s kit and loaded it with a charge he found in the house. He was handling this weapon when it accidentally went off, the bullet sinking his sister in the head.
