CARELESS HOUSEHOLDERS.

Mistakes in Applications for Food Ration Books at Smethwick.

Despite the fact that the Smethwick Food Control Committee took special pains to instruct people in the matter of filling up the forms of application for ration books, there have been a singular number sent in which are causing the greatest trouble to the members of the special staff appointed to deal with them. It is hoped to send out the books during the last week of the month, and those residents who do not receive their “permits” will be required to go the Food Office and make inquiries. It will then be explained why has been impossible to send the books in the usual way. The great mistake has been in omitting the address.
