WOMEN POLICE.
At the annual meeting of the Birmingham branch of the National Union of Women Workers last night. Mrs. Cary Gilson expressed the hope that the Watch Committee would soon be convinced of the need of the appointment of one or more police-women in addition to the five already appointed. These five were excellent rescue workers and they were rendering useful service generally.
