A HOSTEL FOR YOUNG GIRLS
It was reported to the committee that hostel or rescue home for young women, the first of its kind is the country, is to be opened on Friday in Birmingham. The police-women appointed by the Watch Committee had found the need for such a home, where young women and girls who had fallen into a loose way of living could be received. In helping these girls the police-women feel that they have the largest and best field for their efforts.
