BIRMINGHAM DIVORCE.

WIFE’S MISCONDUCT WITH SOLDIER: DECREE NISI GRANTED.

The hearing was concluded in the Divorce Court to-day of the petition of Mr. Alfred Rudge, Sycamore-road, Birmingham, for the dissolution of his marriage on the ground of the alleged misconduct of his wife, Margaret, with a soldier. Respondent counter-charged the petitioner with cruelty and misconduct. The parties denied the allegation. After hearing the evidence, Mr. Justice Low said he was quite satisfied that the respondent had misconducted herself with a soldier whose identity was unknown. As to the counter-charges against the petitioner no misconduct had been proved against him. No doubt there was certain amount of violence at times by the petitioner, but the Court would not hold that bar to granting him relief. Petitioner was granted a decree nisi.
