BIRMINGHAM ALLOTMENTS.

The fact that this is National Saving Week emphasises the value of any effort which makes for economy or adds to the nation’s resources.
In this connection too little is known about the Birmingham Allotments and Small Holdings movement, although in the last few years the work has grown until it is fast becoming a highly important form of local activity.
Those who are interested in the work therefore, will welcome the announcement of the publication of a series of articles embodying interviews with leader and well-known workers of the Allotments and Small Holdings movement. The first article, which provides an interesting and helpful review of the movement, will appear in the “Birmingham Illustrated Weekly Mercury” this week, published on Friday.
All readers who are connected in any way with the allotments movement should arrange with their newsagents to supply them with a copy of the “Birmingham Illustrated Weekly Mercury” this week. Disappointment will be avoided by placing an order early.
