Voices of War & Peace Autumn events

On 13, Aug 2014 | In Events | By Nicola Gauld

Seven new events for the autumn have been added to the events listings: http://www.voicesofwarandpeace.org/events/

Organised by the Centre, these events are aimed at academics, community groups and members of the public. They cover a wide range of topics around the First World War and its commemoration. Events include: creative writing workshops with local authors and arts organisation Beatfreeks, participatory performance for children with The Play House, a Wikipedia meet up and the launch of Stephen Bourne’s new book Black Poppies.

The events also coincide with the exhibition Voices of War, on display at the Library of Birmingham from September 29-December 31, curated by one of the Centre’s Co-Investigators, Dr Siân Roberts.
